End of American Capitolism during Bush term?

The Bush administration is considering a partial nationalization of some banks, buying up a portion of their shares to shore them up and restore confidence as part of the $700 billion government bailout. The notion of government ownership in the financial sector, even as a minority stakeholder, goes against what market purists say they see as the foundation of the American system.

But it is the other party starting it now so if your boy can't save us , whoever shall I vote for? 4 more years of the same? Perhaps it is time to regulate some industry . But you can't really call a market that just trades figures on papers an industry, can you? I mean they don't really make anything. Just skim off people's income, lending money. Get some of the cash flow , flowing. Back to the people that actually earn it. I don't care how it is done.

We're in the same boat on this. If it were 1788 instead of 2008, there would literally be heads rolling in every state in the union...

its pathetic how over the last 150 years or so the constitution and the other principals this country were founded on have been slowly thrown out
